The OMEGA European Masters is the oldest golf tournament in Europe. This is, in fact, the 70th year that the tournament has been played in Crans-Montana. Not only is it renowned for its Swiss heritage, but also for the majestic mountain scenery that is a delight for both players and spectators.
Raynald Aeschlimann, President and CEO of OMEGA, was amongst the spectators, and marveled at every history-making shot. "We have just witnessed the return of golf to the Olympic Games after more than a century. It is a great time for the sport and to go from the coastline of Rio to the mountains of Switzerland shows how global the game is becoming. I feel very proud to be here sharing this special OMEGA event with so many great players. Congratulations to Alexander, it was a thoroughly deserved victory.”
