OMEGA celebrates European Masters with Bastian Baker concert - Intimate performance high above Crans-Montana
On Saturday night, OMEGA invited guests to enjoy a private concert by brand ambassador, Swiss singer/songwriter Bastian Baker at Chetzeron located in the Alps above Crans-Montana.
Bastian Baker appeared alone on stage with an acoustic guitar and performed an intimate set that included some of his most popular original songs including “Follow the Wind”, “Tomorrow May Not Be Better”, “I'd Sing For You” and “79 Clinton Street”. He also performed a moving version of Leonard Cohen’s “Hallelujah”.
Among the concertgoers were three former Miss Switzerlands,: Melanie Winiger, Jennifer Ann Gerber and Whitney Toyloy. Recording artist and Voice of Switzerland jurist Stefanie Heinzmann, blogger and TV presenter Florence Jacquinot and top Swiss model Nadine Strittmatter were also part of the enthusiastic audience. Novelist Joël Dicker (The Truth About the Harry Quebert Affair) was also on hand to enjoy Bastian Baker’s set.
He surprised the guests when he closed his set with “Wonderwall” by Oasis and the audience sang along and brought him back for encores, which included a spirited version of “American Pie.”
Although Baker was alone on stage, he performed in front of a large screen that featured live art created by noted sand animator Cedric Cassimo. Cassimo was next to the stage and during each song, he created art with sand placed on a light table. The images were projected onto the screen and compellingly reflected the lyrics.
