Chad le Clos wins 2017 Swimming World Cup

Friend of OMEGA Chad le Clos was crowned men's overall winner at the FINA 2017 Swimming World Cup in Singapore.

The outcome was a sure thing even before the event's final leg, but the young South African finished on a high, winning the 100m butterfly in just 49.49 seconds.

The victory in Singapore marked his first World Cup title since 2014. However the 25-year-old champion is no stranger to the winner's podium, having taken the top prize three times before. This latest win makes him the first male swimmer to win the overall title four times.

With another FINA World Cup win to his name, Chad le Clos will now set his sights on next year's Commonwealth Games on the Gold Coast in Australia.
