Chad le Clos visits OMEGA in Ginza, Japan

The Olympic swimmer was joined at the boutique by actress Nanao

Olympic gold medalist and world-renowned swimmer Chad le Clos has made a special visit to OMEGA’s flagship boutique in Ginza, Japan. The OMEGA ambassador has been in Tokyo for the FINA Swimming World Cup, an event officially timed by OMEGA, and he was happy to finish his stay with a visit to the capital city’s leading OMEGA store.

Chad won gold medals in the 50m and 200m butterfly events and silver medals in the 100m and 200m freestyle events this week. And clearly, he was pleased about his time in Tokyo, saying: “It’s an honour to come back to Tokyo, this is my 7th time here since 2010. It feels like destiny to be heading to the Olympic Games Tokyo 2020, exactly 10 years after my first visit to this city.”

Alain Zobrist, CEO of OMEGA Timing, and Christophe Savioz, President and Representative Director of Swatch Group Japan K.K were also in the boutique for the day.

OMEGA has been a leading name in international swimming competitions for many decades and has also been the Official Timekeeper of the Olympic Games on 27 occasions since 1932. With Tokyo 2020 now fast approaching, OMEGA’s presence in Japan is certainly increasing and it was a great privilege for the brand to spend a day in the company of Chad, one of the Olympic Games most exciting talents.
