"Olá Switzerland!" was Tuesday night’s special occasion at OMEGA House in Rio and was a chance for OMEGA to toast the culture and talent of its own watchmaking home.

With OMEGA House Rio being one of the most popular destinations in the city right now, tonight was another busy and energetic evening. To make the setting suitably Swiss, the House was lit up in red and dressed in Swiss themed flowers and decorations. And of course, it wouldn’t be Switzerland without chocolate. For a sweet treat, a cart full of Swiss chocolate was set up alongside the evening’s main entertainment - a performance from OMEGA ambassador Bastian Baker.

Bastian is one of Switzerland’s best young musicians. With a queue waiting before the doors had even opened, the singer delighted guests with a dynamic concert including some of his most popular tracks including "I Will Sing For You". He also spoke about the inspiration that Brazil has given him. "I’m really inspired by Brazil and by Rio. I’ve been taking part in a few jam sessions with some very good percussionists and I’m now thinking of coming here to record some stuff in the next month. It’s the perfect place to get some new input into my music. I’ve definitely had a few ideas since I arrived.”

The next huge cheers of the night came from the sporting action on the big screen as OMEGA ambassador Michael Phelps won his 24th and 25th Olympic Games medals!
