“Tested for you”: the Omega Speedmaster Dark Side of the Moon
Though it was launched in 1957, the Speedmaster chronograph only became a major icon when NASA approved it for human space missions in 1965.
Omega used ceramic technology to craft the Dark Side of the Moon, a version of the legendary Moonwatch, much to the delight of its aficionados which include myself.
The watch is absolutely delightful to wear and it features a ceramic case that is not only resistant and light, but also limits heat conduction to a minimum.
The nylon strap rounds off the feeling of comfort whilst at the same time matching with the case’s technicality. Both the dial and the bezel were in ceramic and their shiny finishes offer hypnotic plays of light that are not too flashy. Even if it is a sportive timepiece, this high-tech Speedmaster perfectly matches my smartest outfits, thus making it a must-have for every watch collector.
